1960 Olds Super Trumpet

This is a great vintage Olds Super Trumpet built in 1960 in the Fullerton plant in California. The previous owner had Jason Harrelson build some custom valve caps both top and bottom as well as some valve buttons which work very well with this horn. The trumpet handles well and sounds great, partly in due to the nature of an Olds Super and partly because of the caps. The valves were also aligned at that time which helps also! The finish was originally in raw brass but we applied a brushed finish and shines up the slides to give a nice comparative effect. The custom finish doesn't affect the tone but does give the horn real "eye appeal!" Prior to the custom finish being applied, the trumpet was serviced which includes ultrasonic cleaned, accessible dent/ding removal, and then re-assembly and re-checking functionality. Pads and waterkey corks were good so, mechanically, this trumpet is in excellent condition. The valves show a very slight amount of wear but have excellent compression and seal well. Other than this servicing, there doesn't appear to have been any previous repairs on the horn. There was no case that came with this one but a case could be included if requested.
